Working in the natural resource sector for over 10 years, my career has taken me down several exciting and challenging paths in the field of project management and business development for several different clients. My career has spanned such industries as oil and gas, mining, transportation, renewable energy, commercial development, and First Nation engagement. Each project and client requires a custom fit approach to find a solution and finding the right balance of cost and outcome has always been a strong focus of mine. I always strive to support my clients to find an outcome that moves the bar of success higher. Such initiatives and results include:
· Help lead the business development growth of a professional team of over 200 staff within the natural resource sector
· Project managed small to large industrial natural resource projects ranging from $15 thousand to $5.5 million while keeping profit margins and net revenues higher than industry standards
· Coached and mentored staff to grow the capacity of the business development team across different natural resource sectors
· Implemented pursuit strategies and account management plans to grow existing client’s net revenue annual targets and to attract new clients
In my most recent roles as a project manager and business development manager within the natural resource sector, I helped my organization grow my personal project book value from 1.3 Million to over 15 Million in 2.5 years and going from 10% to 80% of market share in Western Canada for a multibillion dollar oil and gas client. This was directly correlated to my ability to build a professional working relationship with my client and find different ways to solve some of their most complex problems. My custom-made approach to the project helped the client see the risks, opportunities, and efficiencies from cradle to grave during the early phases of the projects. By going into the project with a well thought out plan helped achieve a lower overall project risk and helped each team player see their role and action plan clearly. My passion is to help clients grow their business and tackle some of their most complex problems in a structured and systematic way that results in a win-win solution.
